Week of November 9-13

Hello Parents,

We are very much looking forward to seeing our 2nd, 3rd & 4th graders again on Monday!

Our Chromebooks are starting to arrive.  We received Chromebooks for the 4th grade class and will begin utilizing them in the days ahead. Third grade will be the recipients of the next shipment, but with COVID affecting production we simply cannot predict when that will be.

Religion - 2nd Grade
The 2nd graders will receive two special sacraments during this school year!
  • First Reconciliation will take place in February.
  • First Communion will take place in the Spring.
  • Retreats for each of these sacraments will be planned by the St. Clare Parish Faith Formation office.
  • Specific dates for the sacraments and retreats have not yet been determined.
  • Second graders who attend St. Clare School will be prepare for the sacraments in these ways:
    • Daily religion lessons with Mrs. Van Helvoirt
    • Retreats and and other activities planned by the St. Clare Parish Faith Formation office (Anne Stemper will be our contact person)
Math-Third Grade
The 3rd graders are very excited to begin their unit on understanding multiplication.

Math-All Grades
Due to the unexpected days off of school, we will postpone sending math books home until Friday, November 13.

Spelling
Due to the two day quarantine, students will take their spelling test on Monday and then they will receive their new words for the week ahead.

Safe Environment Lesson
All students participated in a safe environment lesson as required by the Diocese of Green Bay.  The topic for the first of three lessons was on differentiating between trusted adults (parents, teachers, doctors, etc.) and situations where children may feel uncomfortable and would need to speak up (say no, get help, etc.) and go to a trusted adult.
