Religion - 4th
The 4th grade students will lead a virtual rosary on Monday, March 29 at 2:00.  We are extending an invitation to 4th grade families and any parish members that our 4th grade families wish to invite.  If you would like to join us, please reply to this email and I will happily share the link with you!


Spelling
Due to the short school week, there will be no spelling test before Easter break.

Wrapping Up - Student Teaching
This week concludes Mrs. Bartosch's student teaching with the 4th graders.  Everything went really well!

Math
All grades will bring their math books home this weekend for parents to look over.  Grade 2 should be sure to return their books on Monday.  Grades 3 & 4 should keep their math workbooks at home permanently as they are moving into a new workbook. 
  • 2nd Grade - The 2nd graders are finishing up their unit on numbers to 1000. 
  • 3rd Grade - The 3rd graders finished their unit on multiplication and their unit on money.  Next, they will begin a unit on numbers to 10,000.  
  • 4th Grade - The 4th graders finished their unit on time and measurement and will focus next on division with remainders as well as long division. Thank you for sending the decks of cards!

Thank you for the donations for the family in need.  We have already received generous amounts of toothpaste and toothbrushes.  We have also collected a broom.  How wonderful to be able to help out a local family in need!

Religion - 4th
The 4th grade students brought home their reading parts to practice at home for when they will lead the Stations of the Cross on March 26.  The 6th grade will join them in reading the parts.

Update - Student Teaching
Mrs. Bartosch has been teaching math to the 4th grade students and everything is going really well!  This will continue throughout next week as well.  If you have any questions during this time, please feel free to reach out.

Math - 4th
Please send a deck of cards with your 4th grader.  Ideally, I would like each student to have a deck for learning division with remainders.  (Tape measures came in super handy!  Those will be sent home in about a week. Thank you for your assistance in helping them learn math in a practical, hands-on manner!)

Spelling

The 4th grade will take a test on Wednesday, March 17.

Classroom Supplies
With all the cleaning that we are doing to keep everyone as healthy and safe as possible, we are again in need of paper towels.  Thank you for having restocked supplies in the past.  If you have not had an opportunity to contribute, we ask that you kindly consider helping out at this time. 

Math

  • Grade 2 - The 2nd graders will be starting a unit on three digit numbers. 
  • Grade 3 - The 3rd graders will learn the last times table this week (x12) and continue their unit on money.
  • Grade 4 - The 4th graders will continue their unit on time and measurement and work on their unit on division.
