Music - Message from Mr. Wallace

Hello Parents/Guardians!

Now that I am finally in a groove with bouncing between schools, I wanted to send out a fall newsletter to all of you. Music has been great with the students so far and we're diving into Christmas music already - Crazy! They bring energy and passion every day and we're making lots of noise. I wanted to share with you some notes for the fall and give any of you an opportunity to reach out to me with any questions.

3rd/4th Grade - Recorders:
If your student is in 3rd or 4th grade, we will be learning recorders this fall/winter and they will need to bring their recorder or obtain one if they do not have one.  I have school ones that they can rent for $5 for the year and the $5 will go towards our music budget.

Cursive - Grades 3 & 4
Going forward, Mrs. Bartosch will be teaching cursive to the 3rd grade class.  Mrs. Van Helvoirt will continue to review cursive with 4th grade.  The 4th graders will be using cursive more in their everyday classwork as well as their homework.

Dear 2nd Grade Parents,

Second grade is such a milestone year for your children!  This year your children will receive both the Sacrament of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

Student lessons consist of two essential parts.  First, the students will be taught and prepared for these sacraments on an ongoing basis throughout the year by Mrs. Van Helvoirt within the day-to-day classroom setting.  Second, students in all Green Bay Diocese Catholic Schools also participate in their local parish lessons/activities.

Therefore, please watch for communications pertaining to parish activities from Mrs. Anne Stemper, Parish Discipleship Formation Coordinator. Please contact her at stclarefaith@stclareagw.org if you have any questions or conflicts.

Mrs. Stemper shared the following dates with us.  We will leave this information posted on this blog for your reference.

Blessings,
Mrs. DeGroot, Mrs. Bartosch, and Mrs. Van Helvoirt
